How are you?

I hope you’re ok in your new life!

What about the new college? For me this year is being a little hard, the teachers aren’t so polite as last year, and they are using more traditional methodologies than teachers at the secondary schools. The lessons are often boring. The music class is the most interesting one and the lessons by videoconference are the worst.

It is very interesting to meet new people. Another thing that I like very much is where is located this college, just in the middle of the city. Sometimes I can go shopping with my friends. After the exams I’m going to go out a little too.

What about your family? Are they ok? What about going out in Madrid? I think it is a very interesting city to go out.

I’m waiting for the summer to see you again.

2-SPEAKING ABOUT EDUCATION 

Nowadays, speaking about education is speaking about traditional and modern methodologies, and it is not just the qüestion of using new technologies in the classroom or not. It also means that the way of teaching and learning must change.

On the one hand, with traditional methodologies, the teacher knowns everything and childrem must be quiet, listening what teacher is telling. Repeating everything is the way they have learnt, memory is the most important thing in this way.

On the otrher hand, by using modern methodologies children are the protagonist. Then, the teacher becames a guide who helps children to built their learning, children learn while they are doing everything, not just memorizing books. And learning is a long path that does not finish when we leave school, we continue learning during all our life.

In my opinion, with this way it is possible to say that modern methodologies improve creativity and at this moment the world needs  creative people to find solutions for the great problems that humanity has.
